Lowfield Timber Frames Invest in Hundegger Robotics

Following the unfortunate fire in March 2024, the Lowfield Timber Frames team rallied to minimise disruption and emerged stronger. The replacement building has been re-planned, with all machines now running more efficiently than ever before to boost productivity. By optimising space, Lowfield now have room to expand capabilities and have installed their third state-of-the-art CNC Hundegger.

This model is the first ROBOT-Compact 650 ordered in the UK and significantly advances timber processing capabilities in the sector. Despite its name, the ROBOT-Compact handles timber sections up to 300x650mm and lengths of 12 metres with ease. Efficiency comes from the proven 6-axis robot unit with automated tool changer, delivering greater accuracy and capacity for larger projects.
