Over the past 25 years, we have developed a highly efficient workflow that enables us to tackle a wide variety of projects. We are constantly innovating and refining our processes, whether through the adoption of new design software, advanced estimating techniques, or enhanced factory production management systems. We provide continuous training to our employees and all employees are given the opportunity to visit our occupational health therapist.
We have gone above and beyond in prioritising worker well-being. A recent redesign and rebuild of the cutting shop features ergonomically designed workspaces that are well-lit and dust-free safety has been the primary focus of the reconfiguration which is now better suited to the size and scope of the organisation. The factory’s safety team plays a vital role here, effectively maintaining a safe, clean, and hazard-free environment. Their diligence and expertise in upholding health and safety protocols contribute significantly to a positive and pro-active safety culture.
We also have trained Cancer Champions and Mental Health first aiders who are approachable to anyone who needs them.
At the heart of our operations is our state-of-the-art cutting shop, equipped with the latest in timber processing technology. Housing:

These machines enable us to achieve expert tolerances, ensuring precision and quality in every cut. Our operations produce minimal wood waste, averaging just 3%, which is then efficiently repurposed in our on-site biomass boiler.
The Hundegger joinery saws, in particular, empower us to deliver bespoke feature joinery and large glulam frame projects with intricate detailing and structural jointing, all handled with ease and efficiency.
In contrast to the cutting shop, our assembly operations remain largely manual. This allows our highly skilled workforce to craft a diverse range of pre-manufactured components, including:
- Wall panels
- Floor and roof cassettes
- Complex twinwall/Larsen panels
- Bespoke joinery items
The human element is what truly sets our assembly factory apart. Our team’s expertise and adaptability enable us to respond seamlessly to industry changes and varying client specifications, ensuring minimal disruption to our workflow.
We have developed an in-house steel fabrication department, enabling us to satisfy all elements of timber frame design. Whether this be goal posts for large opening, steel beams for large spans or timber to steel flitch plates. We have 6 trained welders as well as state of the art plasma CNC machines. This capability allows us to handle complex structural requirements with precision and efficiency, ensuring seamless integration of steel components into our timber frame projects.
Over the past 25 years, we have invested heavily in developing our own transport capabilities. This strategic move ensures flexibility in client deliveries and significantly enhances our environmental efficiency. By taking complete control of our logistics, we:
- Maximise load efficiency
- Minimise the number of deliveries
- Optimise vehicle usage by transporting raw materials on return journeys that would otherwise be empty
Our recent investments include a bespoke transport facility with an on-site maintenance workshop, further reducing unnecessary journeys and underscoring our dedication to lowering carbon emissions wherever possible.
