Lowfield Timber Frames supplied the timber frame to sister company SJ Roberts Construction Ltd, it was erected by their construction team at the school near Telford. The school is in addition to the supply of up to 470 timber frame kits for an array of houses once the scheme is completed.
SJ Roberts commented on the project:
“It was a pleasure to hand over Allscott Primary School to the representatives of the school and its sponsors, Learning Community Trust. Accommodating up to 150 pupils, the stunning building offers a modern, light, and colourful environment in which the children will learn with six classrooms, a spacious sports hall, a well-equipped kitchen, functional offices, and versatile storage rooms. Additionally, there are purpose-built spaces for personalised one-on-one teaching, support, and interviews.
The school also boasts a range of amenities, including a staff room, 40 convenient bike parking spaces, ample car parking for both staff and visitors, a 1.1-acre sports field, and a resilient hard-surfaced sports court. Furthermore, visionary plans are underway to introduce nursery provisions, fostering a vibrant connection with the local community and supporting its growth.
Although the project has been successfully completed, our commitment to the school and the local community remains. Our ongoing work at Allscott Meads means that we will continue to work closely with the school community to provide additional learning opportunities for the pupils”
