Timber Framed Centre For Telford Town Park
Built in 2012 this visitor centre is truly one of its kind, the Visitor Centre has been built to meet Passive House / Passivhaus Standards and is currently one of the only centres in Shropshire to do so.
The Visitor Centre, located centrally in Telford Town Park offers a state-of-the-art learning centre and meeting room with outdoor exclusive space including equipment to assist in learning or presenting to a group. Facilities include toilets, baby change and vending machines located inside.
Utilising a 142mm Kingspan TEK wall envelope system, an additional insulation layer of Kingspan (TW55) was specified at 60mm thick. A Glulam Portal Frame package was designed, engineered, machined in house to create the required amount of stability for the clear open rooms required as a part of the design concept. The Kingspan Unidek Aero 240-7 SIPS roof system was used.
