New Lift, Less Carbon
As part of our ongoing commitment to improving operational efficiency and reducing our environmental impact, Lowfield Timber Frames is proud to announce the latest addition to our facility: the Combilift COMBI-CBE — a fully electric, multidirectional forklift now in operation on our shop floor.
By switching to electric over diesel, we’re reducing emissions and improving efficiency on multiple fronts.
🌱 Supporting Our Carbon Reduction Plan
This new equipment directly contributes to our wider environmental goals, helping us reduce:
- Scope 1 emissions from on-site machinery
- Noise pollution in and around our production facility
- Fuel usage and costs
- Long-term maintenance needs
These changes align with our ambition to reach our Carbon Reduction Plan targets and promote cleaner construction methods across the industry.

⚙️ Operational Benefits
The COMBI-CBE is more than just environmentally friendly — it also improves how we work day to day:
- Smooth handling of large and awkward timber frames
- Improved manoeuvrability in restricted spaces
- Reduced risk of material damage
- Enhanced safety for shop floor operatives
These benefits allow us to maintain high output without compromising on quality or working conditions.
Looking Ahead
We see this investment as a practical step in our wider modernisation strategy. From material handling to energy efficiency, every update brings us closer to a smarter, more sustainable future.
At Lowfield, sustainability is built into everything we do — not just in the homes we help create, but in how we operate each day.
