Do timber frames affect build times?
Because timber frames are made in a factory they arrive on site in a predictable timescale, which can be factored into the supply chain early on, ready for construction. This completed kit is quick to erect and, because it does not rely on 'wet' trades, is ready for external cladding as soon as the timber framed structural shell is complete. All necessary trades can then start internal work within a week or two, in contrast to brick and block construction which would take a month or two!
